- Edited 4 months agoGood pressing and sound. Interesting "interpretation" of the classics Moby songs. Unnaceptable paper inner sleevs.
Techics SL1200-MK5 - Jelco SA250-LB - Ortofon VMS - Pro Ject Phono Box DS2 - great record, but pressing is not up to the deutsche gramophone standards! click and pops all over...
- My copy has some non-fill. I have a feeling that this is probably one that will be better served by the CD version.
- Had this a few months, just given it a second spin. Very clean and quiet pressing even though I have some surface dust present from static - need to run through the spin clean and place in some anti-static sleeves, but no pops or crackles anywhere on my copy.
As for the music, well it's all a matter of taste, but suited my weekend morning mood.... - Not so warm and dynamic sound as I excepted, but almost perfect. Great cover and printing. May the beauty still remain.
UPD: after upgrading my system record sounds way better than on older setup, more clear, crisp and dynamic - Edited 2 years agoMoby is Moby and for sure you know what you are buying. The idea is very good and the "reprise" as an idea is done very well.
But the sound of vinyl in comparison to the digital Tidal version is just unacceptable. This impression comes from 2 different copies of the same album.
Comparison done on the vinyl side with a ZYX Ultimate 1000 on a DPS 3 with Bonnec phono stage. On digital with Bryston BDA-3.14 Tidal through Roon without dsp - Great release musically, sounds great, arrangements are great, but LPs are in paper inner sleeve and my copy is full of scratches and spots, and as a result there are a lot of crackles and clicks. After opening factory sealed LP, you are risking to get NM at the best or even worse.
- side A lot of crackles . sides B,C,D no problem . i replaced the copy and the second one had exactly the same crackles
