- Whenever you add Ralf Hildenbeutal to Sven Vath you get cosmic and tribal depth that does not happen without him. 3 cuts come to mind that Ralf played on with Sven that are among my favorite songs of all time. 2 of those are Goa Trance. I can't say that these 2 cuts are standouts. The first cut is great up to 5 minutes and then weakens into a formula trance vibe that wrecks the song for me. The second cut is kind of a cheesy pop trance tune that I could not listen to after a minute or so.
Check out Barbarella-The Mission if you want to hear a great collaboration between Ralf and Sven or Sven Vath-Ritual of Life [Tribal-acid mix] for another collaborative effort. 2 cuts from the early days that have depth and soul. - Edited 18 years ago'Blue Lotus' is the very definition of the term 'Liquid Monster Trance'. Ralf Hildenbeutel and Sven Väth or indeed anybody could not have made this track any better than it is. Remixing this track would be pointless.
The long intro must rank as one of the greatest introductions to any record, ever. It's an exercise is musical mastery that will make your jaw drop. Once the main body of the track finally kicks in, it's a rollercoaster ride into angular driven classical euro trance heaven. The attention to detail is simply stunning.
This is one of those tracks where it would be pointless trying to beat mix into anything else - play every last drop of it (preferably as a set opener), and your reputation will increase ten-fold!
A masterpiece.
