My copy sounds pretty good. No cracks or pops. Like others have said it could sound better…best way to describe it is that it sounds like an above average bootleg record. Bass is very present but the rest is a little muddy.

Noticeable surface noise or static on side A, including the intro to track 2. One or more pops on track 2 and 4. Tracks are a little muddy/unclear, and stereo separation isn’t as good as other records. Despite less-than-perfect mastering, bass is excellent throughout and this stellar album is enjoyable. Based on memory, it sounds similar to the CD and digital versions I have, with slightly more liveliness and ample bass coming through (great for hearing Pino).

I bought and returned this LP in 2021 b/c the vinyl was terrible. The vinyl on this recent copy (2-23) is MUCH better. I agree the mastering is pretty meh. It's a fairly flat sounding digitally sourced album. The JM Trio sonics and performances on the "Where The Light Is" LP are better IMHO. However, it you want a copy of "Another Kind Of Green" (one of his better tunes), you have to get this LP.

Hmmm.. Uh, I don't know about the "ⓝ" part in the matrix.. I'm 99% sure it's actually "Ⓤ", as in pressed at United Record Pressing in TN. 😅
          Might have to fix that.

The mastering on this album is terrible. I guess I'll have to try the "Music on Vinyl" pressing. I hate buying albums twice! Avoid this "AWARE RECORDS" U.S. pressing. You have been warned!
