Put through the ultrasonic cleaner in 2 separate sessions and still noisy all the way through. Now that I see this was pressed by GZ Media, I know why.

The album itself is an inspired five-Star epic rock album of course, and I’ve been listening to it since it started blowing MTV up when it came out. I’ve only recently been able to separate it from UYI I as a distinct album and if I had to choose one album, it would be that one. That’s subjective and worthless. What I think is less subjective is that these LPs are cut from digital, so you’re not gaining anything new by getting these on vinyl except for dust in the groove, necessity for side flipping, and surface noise. There should be a world of difference if MFSL or AP ever cut these from the original tapes (if they still exist).

Same as UYI 1, vinyl noisy between tracks and was filthy requiring a clean before playing. Very thick vinyl, feels more like 200g than some 180g releases. Protective sleeves are nasty cardboard, had to partially rip the glued edge remove one record due to the static sealing the two together.
From memory, both 1 & 2 sound as close to the originals I had in 1991, maybe a bit heavier on bass, they still clip and are far from audiophile, but if you want that you are missing the point of GnR. Turn it up load and worry your tweeters.
