Agree 100% with FunkHunt! It's almost 15 years old, still every single track is a great DJ-tool up to this day. Blends perfectly in both 70's/80's original Disco/Electro-Funk and today's House-Disco-movement. Very original music, with that playful, almost naive, quality that only norwegians know. Still, Mathisen's best track from this period, "Take To The Sky", isn't even included. This has been a little secret for me for quite some time, though I really wish more people would re-discover this with a repress.

This record deserves a vinyl repress edition. I have some 12" from them which include some of the album tracks but the full album is great really. The music is so up to date it hurts to see it forgotten in time and only available in cd or digital. From balearic biscuits, to electro funk bullets, or discofied house, its essentially eleven timeless and infectious grooves that will be total winners in any discerning music selection or eclectic dj set.

Just who are those two guys discussing god, the universe and the whole enchilada on Hasjbox?

Normally, if I can choose between a record or a compact disc, I always go for the good old undestructible vinyl.
But in this case, the inclusion of 'Fluffy the Vampire' as a bonus track was enough to go digital : it's a hilarious 80's/disco re-make of 'Little Fluffy Clouds' by the Orb, and it'll put a smile on everybody's face !

On the whole : strong album, positive vibes, sounds somewhere between the Idjuts, Daniel Wang and Chicken Lips.
Life can be serious, but music should be FUN !
