*EDIT* The first copy I got was so s**t sounding it's almost comical. The mixing is very bad (love the Posies but, J, please fire Agnello). On the upside, the "purple ripple" might be the most beautiful color vinyl I own.

Since others reported that theirs sounded fine, I decided to buy another copy, this time imported from the UK. Indeed, it has the same runout info, same color, UPC, everything. But it sounds BETTER (as in, not the best but a clear improvement) and I'm actually now enjoying the spin. It's crazy how different pressings from the same run can end up sounding.

      Great record. Terrible sound.
Dino could benefit greatly with a new mixer and mastering facility.
The new live record sounds way better!!!

Very enjoyable listen. Need to turn it up loud. If you play at a low volume it sounds muffled and not great. Solid pressing.

Terrible, muffled mix of a solid album. Looks good on the turntable but doesn't sound up to scratch at all, unfortunately.

My copy is pretty average. The background is not quiet, but not the worst I have ever heard. The music is loud, so it isn't noticeable during songs. No pops/clicks, flat, centered. It looks cool.

Pretty solid offering from the band. The Kurt Vile influence is apparent. Garden might be the best Lou song they’ve done.

Woeful mix and production… I don’t think it’s the pressing. I’ll blame Kurt Vile / never liked him :) . I don’t know if they were trying for som me kind of garage sound, but to me it’s just flat. Listening through cotton wool. Maybe one day they’ll remix it. It’s a shame, the songs are good.

I really like this album but the sound quality is not good. I agree with another user that the sound is muffled. Also some background noise. It’s just not a clean sound. I’ve got most of dj’s albums and this is the first one I’ve had that is sub par sound quality. And yes, I clean my records and play them on a quality system.

Love the songs, don’t love the mix. Sounds muffled. Maybe my ears are getting old.

I love Dinosaur, Jr.! I saw them at the UT Texas Ballroom in an intimate show of like x200 people. This was the "Where You Been" tour in 1993. F*cking awesome live! J.Mascis was loaded with nihilstic energy! They have many solid releases after and before that one too.
But... this release sucks. This feels phoned in. Just endless mumbling and whining with minimal jamming? I should've listened to this one first. Press is flat, thick and quiet though.
