My father (Carl Johnson) played drums and wrote songs on this album. This is one of the favorite 50 albums of my lifetime. When I was growing up my Dad would take me to their rehersal sessions at The Dungeon Club, in our hometown of Winston-Salem, NC. All of the band members worked hard to hone their craft and these were some of the best times of my life. The Eliminators were well known around the Twin Cities, along with another R&B band named Gore & The Upsetters. This was in the late 1960's and early 70's. One year The Eliminators opened up for Kool & The Gang. I was there. Needless to say, I'm very proud that my Dad contributed to this release. It is forever etched in time.
