- I put off buying this for years due to comments on here. Got it for cheap and IMO it's not nearly as bad as a lot are making it out to be. Is it quiet? Yes. Does it sound better than passable if you turn up your system? Yes. Would it benefit from a 2 LP pressing? Sure. Is it worth <$20? Yup. Far from the worst sounding record in my collection.
- This is an absolute dumpster fire of a pressing. The edge of the record is uneven with heavy skipping on Side A track one. Visually I can see tons of pressing flaws even though it was bought sealed. Sounds like garbage too. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!
- It's definitely a very quiet pressing (I have to turn it up way more than my other records) but no pops/clicks anything so I can deal with it okay
- fuck I just bought this guys. so I suppose it was laying somewhere for 19 years? some serious problem at the beggining of side B and some skiping in side A. I dont recommend this LP.
- I have to agree with every review below. Just pulled out my copy to play for the first time in years and its mastered super quiet yet pressed on noisy vinyl (and my disc is cleaned). The sound isn't good either, very one dimensional as speedingdeacon mentioned. It definitely needs a 2LP version.
- This pressing isn't that bad. It has a fair amount of surface noise even after a few cleanings. It's not very dynamic but it's not flat. It's passable for now, I really hope it gets a reiussue.
- This is by far the worst sounding LP that I own. This was my first experience with Aware Records and I have been avoiding their releases ever since. The main issue was releasing so many songs on a single LP. The volume is exceptionally low, so you have to turn your amplifier way up, hear tons of background noise and nearly make the whole system rumble and feedback. And on top of that the sound quality is atrocious. Completely one dimensional and distorted. I borrowed my friend's 2017 We Are Vinyl/Legacy Records release and, while it was definitely much better than the Aware release, the sound quality was still lacking in a lot of ways. Long story short, this album is far too long to be crammed onto one LP and it deserves a proper 2 LP release by a quality company that respects the source material and knows how to translate it to vinyl.
- The pressing I have lacks depth and clarity missing midrange. It actually sounded worse than my downloaded version of this album. Hoping the European 180 gram import will sound better.
- Nice first album! Good quality, fine release. It's just a little under-mixed (sound is low), and it's probably not an analog master. Still a good vinyl to have!
