- My copy just arrived and I threw it on the turntable, gave a thorough cleaning, and lowered the needle. Things started off fantastic - the record is flat, very quiet, and the pink and blue cloud coloring is beautiful. Unfortunately, the fifth track on side one ("I Need a Stamp') started popping and clicking immediately and then it hit a skip and would not progress any further. A second cleaning did nothing. When I took the record off, I discovered a large scratch area, circular in shape, that covers the entire track. Its unplayable. There are no other skips on the record, but pops and clicks come up on the rest of side 1 and on side 2.
Very disappointing as this is a wonderful album. I immediately went to send it back to Amazon for a replacement, but they're completely out, with a note that makes it seem likely they will not get any other copies of the pink and blue pressing back in stock. So I'll hold on to it for now.
There are copies left on the band's Bandcamp page, but the shipping to the U.S. pushes the price up to $40. The cyan blue repress is only $25 so I may order one of those.
