Reviews
- I see it says Bernie Grundman mastered this but my gatefold shows it to be Doug Sax at The Mastering Lab. Anyone here that can clarify? Thanks
- Edited 6 years agoEagles? Jackson Browne? Linda Ronstadt? Singer/songwriter J D Souther has had a hand in them all. If you like the brand of music this album is a real gem. You truly can't go wrong. His voice is like an ice cream soda - his lyrics romantically melancholic and his melodies simply beautiful. Why this isn't revered as a classic West Coast album of the 70's beats me. Eagles, Ronstadt and the West Coast 'wrecking crew' are all on there at some point along with a sublime acoustic bass from Stanley Clarke on 'Silver Blue'. Other Souther albums never lived up to the promise - but this is the real deal.
PS. The Japanese vinyl pressing P-6434Y is simply stunning audio.
