- Southside original mix is awesome jacking disco tencho as good as Deft Punk/Gene farris etc. Was hammered by many including Roger Sanchez!
- Edited 4 years agoThis was a killer track for me back when it came out (original mix). It really distilled the sound of the time (I.e., Sneak, Farris, Dave Angel, Roulé) but more tech-y. One of those tracks that does little, but what little it does it does so well. One could always get a feel for how something was received by whether people came up to talk to about it or ask what it was. This was one of those tracks. I can still remember the first time I played it out, dancers lost deep in the groove.
- Gotta disagree with bhbognar re original mix,,, it destroyed dancefloors in late 95 and throughout 96 and still holds it own!
- Though the original and the Sneak mix are largely ones to skip (due to an uncanny resemblance to half-toughened disco), Surgeon's rework of Storm is a hurricane of pulsating sound effects, not for weaker tech fans. It seems to be a cross of the original from Clarke's Red 3, with some of Surgeon's aesthetic from the Communications album.
