must have been originally inspired by the track by Pizarro - Give It Up (The Give It Up Mix) (1991) https://www.discogs.com/Pizarro-Plastica-Give-It-Up/release/158219

Pitch black...sweaty with the heat of the massive dancefloor crowd...the percussion intro is amplified by the stabs of light flashes from the trackspots waving over the crowd...a straight tribal beat thunders throught the sound system...give it up girl!!!!! When I first heard this track at a club in 1993 I freaked out. Thought it's dated now, it still sends nostalgic goosebumps when I hear it. Check out "Carnaval Batucada" by Sergio Mendez for the original inspiration to this track.
