Reviews
- Mantra was rock band who's members were mainly Maori. They were around in the early 1980's in New Zealand. They played at the Sweetwater festival either in - Ngaruawahia or Pukekawa in the early 80's At Sweetwater they appeared on the Aerial Railway Stage for other artists that were not the main highlights. The songs they did there were Rock and they featured a blistering version of a Neil Young song in their set. As recently 2007 Jack Kaka and his band Mantra appeared at the Waitakere Family Carnival 2007 on the Te Atatu Peninsula, West Auckland, New Zealand. A song they did was as "Because I love You".
Live, Mantra were a heavy rock band with blues . This single here is a little less in the heavy rock that they were known for live but it still rocks.
