Raw Cuts #6 be like a sample from the opening lines of the great Patti Labelle, You Turn Me On

Raw Cuts # 5 contains not only the sample from Marvin Gaye´s "What´s going on" but also, mainly, from Barbara Lynn´s "I´m a good woman".

Really weird....first, yeah, I hear the Marvin Gaye sample you're thinking of. I think Digable Planets might have sampled that same "Hey, how ya doin" in their first record. But I swear I have this Raw Cuts #5 track on vinyl by another artist? Is that the point of this series...re-release raw cuts from other artists? I might have missed something. But I swear that track was an Audio Soul Project or SUMO 12" if I'm not mistaken. I hate when I know I can place a song on vinyl but might be mixing up my artists. Can anyone help me out? This is a re-release, maybe a re-edit right?

I think the talking sample from the beginning of the track is the same as the end of What's Goin On by Marvin Gaye?

A continuation in MCDE's 'Raw Cuts' series, based around old samples. In an Australian interview he said that each track in the Raw Cuts series was to be written and mixed in under two hours!

This shit is killer... absolutely love these tunes!
