Reviews
- Ok here's the deal... The first out the gates were pressed hot, you need exotic stylus profiles perfectly aligned to get satisfaction but wow. There's a second run which isn't so fussy and came on returns of first, still sounds great.
- Edited one year agoMy copy is excellent all the way through, including a crystal clear SQ, beautiful inner sleeve and outer jacket.
Although, the vinyl is not perfect for headphones, but good enough for a floor speakers listening. No more issues whatsoever. - Wow...This was money Well Spent... A Rare Thing, a release that is Exceptional... the Pressing, Packaging and Playing is exactly what I wanted/expected.
- my copy has the front image of the cover positioned transversely to the opening!
Is it a graphic print defect or are all copies made this way? - Sounds great to me. No pressing issues, master sounds good. I'm not the most discerning ear on the planet and I sure as hell haven't listened to an original, but I like it. Take that as you will.
- Everyone writing these reviews should state what set up they are listening their records on, otherwise it doesn’t make much sense.
- Edited 2 years agoNo problem with my copy, flat, dynamic piece of wax, stored in a nice vertigo poly-paper inner, very impressed with this reissue.
- Mine is a bad pressing. Heavily distorted on medium and high frequency peaks (not a cartdridge problem). Too bad because the basic sound would be very good.
- Bloody brilliant re-issue and no need to look further. Brilliant mastering, quiet and flat pressing (not always the case with Optimal of late!). At £21 its a bargain. At double that i wouldnt hesitste either. Im sure this could end up as good as this recording ever gets. So good ive bought two lol
