Reviews
- E7-E5 is redolent of the graphic designer neo-trance e2-e4 rip off tedium on utility. pass.
Polytely is a bit better, got a bit of a dubby undercurrent but wouldn't get me salavating to purchase this release.
It's all about Bent though. Mesmeric dubbed out abstractions which sound like Robert Leiner circa Aqua Viva given the time dilation effect (I.E: Sam Barker here has taken notice of developments in dubstep, electro etc, rather than merely regurgitating 1992.) What you get is a rippling cavernous bassy inorganic modular wormhole to get lost in, that, paradoxically, also somehow feels ethereal. Stunning stuff.
No wonder the Italian techno maestro Marco Shuttle is a fan. - I pre-ordered directly from Bandcamp. My copy arrived with a Berghain plastic shopping bag, an Ostgun Ton sticker, and a Berghain schedule pamphlet. Anybody else?
