Thankyou all for the lovely comments and for wanting a repressing. I don’t think it will happen, sadly. Lucky Number rereleased ROOT in 2016 but no plans for more... maybe contact them and ask? Rex Nayman

what a fantastic record! imagine a sexy female cockney voice over superbly penned synthetic popsongs with a funky twist in a sound as sanguineous and sensual as only 1981's most charming autoproduction could realize. the title track "running out of time" is pure melancholic synth bliss. likewise they, especially singer rex, incorporate a kind of sarcasm and good humour. listen to "don't turn me away" and you know the deal. there is even one instrumental track, "nervoso" that sounds as if jose roberto bertrami and his pals from azymuth were attemting to record a european newsreport TV-theme. "alien" and "send in the clones" are not too far away from mathematiques modernes and yet incorporate a british "rock music" flair that is unique. even the cover versions of boring old rock and roll songs are cool and inspired and quirky, much more appealing like for example telex's takes on similar tunes. "running out of time" is a masterpiece, soundwise as well as musically this album belongs to the most charming stuff in the vast field of pop music!
