Once again The Black Keys skimp on packaging. Double LPs deserve a gatefold sleeve but they’ve opted once again for a single jacket. Also, just like their previous album, no download card and no lyric insert. They’re too modest with their packaging. The vinyl is pretty rad though. Purple with gold dust mixed in. Sounds great too. Just wish they would give us a little more for our money.
Great Album, although I have some issues with the Purple pressing, apart from a bit of warping, the track 'walk with me' has lots of distortion over some over the vocals and lead guitar track, only on the left. I have even looped this through a set of headphones and the same distortion comes through at exactly the same point. The rest of the album is pretty good apart from a few small pops here and there. Does anyone else have the same or similar issue?
Does anyone know if this was recorded/mastered full analog? I know Easy Eye Sound has the capability to do this, but no mentions of the process anywhere.
My "purple haze" Vinyls are flat and library quite, there seems to be a hint of gold glitter in the purple. Pressing quality is fantastic not a single pop and sounds absolutely phenomenal. Considering a colored vinyl the sound quality is impressive, can't stop playing it over and over. A gatefold cover would have been the cherry on top!
I can’t stop playing this record - the bass and low end are fantastic all the way through - I am not a massive BK fan but this a superb record and real surprise after Let’s Rock
