Reviews
- Blown away by the quality of the pressing and the mastering. Little to no surface noise.
Nice packaging and overall presentation.
the only downside is the vinyl came in a generic paper sleeve.
- Cover looks excellent, the embossing and foil was generous and gorgeous (initially it was said only the title/logo would be embossed)- only wish they did the same on the back! The disc is a great color- has a fantastic opalescent effect too. Not much surface noise either, only really mildly present in between tracks. Soundstage is expansive and sounds very punchy and detailed- sounds even better than my hand-numbered OG copy of Warp Riders! This honestly might be the definitive pressing of Age of Winters IMO.
- It’s a great release. Vinyl feels solid. Plays quiet. Beautiful cover. It works. My only gripe is that it could/should have been gatefold. There are other editions that are. But it’s pretty sweet anyway!
- Pleasantly surprised by this pressing. Nearly 24 minutes of music on side B but dynamic range doesn't seem to be lossed at all. March of the Lor absolutely comes alive on this thing. Really, the whole thing sounds superb. And of course the embossed metallic accents are a lovely touch on the jacket. Download card thrown in. A+ RSD release.
- This is the correct approach for RSD, effort has gone into the sleeve, has download code included, great audio, clean pressing. The only slight negative on my copy is some slight sway, from the press being a little off centre. But this is one I would grab, also appears that there are fewer copies in the UK.
- Edited 3 years agoI would really be over the moon about this version if the sword on the back was also embossed. Can't have it all. No really, fantastic pressing. Having only heard Freya on a streaming service since its inception, this is a superb listen. More distinctive echo on the vocals (and more distant) is how I'd describe it.
- Worked in the LRS in RSD21 and played this on the house system. Great pressing. Embossed cover is nice. Has a free download as well. Worth it.
