if you crossed droppin science, with ed rush and optical, you'd get something like this. I actually dig killerwhat? and this is really not my style - but these boys been pushing DnB for years so credit to them

Great 12" right here. Fracture & Neptune are putting out a fresh new sound. It's definatly got an oldschool vibe to it; it has the same kind of feel that somthing from around 94'-97' might have. I think it's because of the way they are using samples to create the atmosphere and obviously becuase of the acute focus on the breaks. The best part of the whole thing though, are the dope breaks: There is never a dull moment, yet the drum sequences are not chaoticly arranged (as some "drumfunk" tends to be) and always flow perfectly. The breaks are complimented nicely by a wobble bassline, making "Clissold" one hell of a tight song. "Killerwhat?" on the B is more or less the same idea, and is quite good as well.

I have high expectations for Astrophonica; Fracture & Neptune have alot of potential with the sound that they are developing, and i hope to hear more fresh, foward thinking tracks from the duo in the future
