- Edited 3 years agoCorrect me if I'm wrong but this seems to be a CD transfer, I really didn't notice too much difference between my CD copy and this one. Anyway, the sound is Ok nonetheless, however, my copy was really dusty and I even found beard hairs on the vinyl, so I had to wet clean it very well before listening to it, and even then the needle ended up all dirty, the sound wasn't really affected by all this luckily. This comes with a pair of gloves, a fancy thing but totally useless IMO, I don't wanna throw them away because they are a part of the package but I really don't care about them at all. Speaking of packaging, it is quite good I would say, some care was put into it, one can tell, the LP came in a poly lined inner sleeve despite having also two printed inner sleeves, one for the gloves and one for the LP, kudos for that. The jacket is standard cardboard, not too flimsy, not too thick, and with a good looking design as well. The colour of the vinyl looks good, solid white, it has a drop of fake blood on one side, one thing I noticed is that the inner groove don't go to the center once the music stops, so don't expect it to advance slowly to find a bonus track or something, it is just that way. I know this label gets some heat from fans because of some previous releases with doubtful quality but I think this specific reissue came out quite fine, the sound is very close to the CD, to the point I'm inclined to think it was a CD transfer but I guess they work with what they get and that's it. Overall I'm just happy to have this classic record on LP, hopefully they can get their hands on Mondo Medicale and reissue it as well.
