Reviews
- I have to say the sound is stellar, some songs just ooze layers of texture. spread your wings and feels like goin home are just stunning. Some bad static on A4 which is really disappointing. Minor static between B3 and 4
- My copy sounds excellent. There’s little surface noise other than what you’d hear normally, and yeah, the whole colored vinyl thing has gotten a little annoying, but hey, its a marketing gimmick and records have had marketing gimmicks (read picture discs, pop up gatefolds, rolling papers, and the list goes on) so really, give em a break. I’m just happy that someone put the money behind getting some of these old presses up and running and most importantly, vinyl is back in a big way. And what’s wrong with that all you “record collectors”? In a world of profitless downloads (see Snoop’s rant (Google it) for the truth on downloads. Is that what you want the record collecting world to be? Not me.
- With the exception of some crackles at the end of track A4, these glowin-in-the-dark platters sound great to me. And yes, it really glows.
- Edited one year agocoloured vinyl mania is completely out of control: noisy, hissy sound quality for x-tra expensive pressings for those who care more about bling-bling than sound quality... played this record now like 5 times since purchase and the sound quality
- I personally think this sounds really nice. Sure glow in the dark is a gimmick but it looks cool and really doesn’t negatively affect the audio at least on my copy. I can hear a slight bit of hiss in the in and out grooves and between tracks but most of this music is loud enough that it’s overpowered. The sonics are crisp and full and the packaging is smooth and sublime. Really a great package for the price.
- my copy sounded kinda noisy especially in the left channel and between silence, not noticeable with the loud tracks though.
- Sounds pretty good considering the glow in the dark gimmick. Unlike some, I quite like the thick card sleeves, although they can be a bit of a pain to get in and out. The records themselves are slightly larger than any other in my collection, which was a bit disconcerting when I put one on the platter.
- my copy of this sounds INCREDIBLE! my favourite Spiritualized album---so glad to have it on vinyl. They did a wonderful job mastering this...
