I bought this hoping to know how Earl Klugh's music was in the 1970's. Not much is changed. I guess in my mind, '70's Jazz should have Soul and Funk fused into it. I guess I have to realize that not all Jazz artist are that way. With that being said, even though not an aggressive artist, Klugh's playing is great. No I would not rate it against some of my favorite guitarist, it would not be fair to him. I will say that it was good that he made records in the '70's, otherwise I would be harsh about his music. At least right here, to me, he captures a nice feed with a nice deep bass sound and great Orchestrations in the background. Sorry guys, I guess you can tell that I'm not into Smooth Jazz, but at least right here Mr. Klugh gets a B.
