Reviews
- My copy isn’t the quietest pressing, there are a good number of clicks and general static to be heard, but the dynamics of these two records more than make up for it. This is an incredible sounding collection of songs, and what a collection it is! The Zaireeka songs in stereo are a delight to hear, and the alternate mixes from the soft bulletin hold up just as much as their counterparts. Satellite of You is the standout for me, if nothing else buy this so you can own that wonderful song. At these current prices, this is an absolute steal.
- Extremely impressive dynamics: the bass drum and bass are killer. Some surface noise, possibly from static. Worth the price.
- A deep dive into this album and the meaning behind the lyrics and songs will allow you to fully enjoy and appreciate this album. IMO- this album best represents the true genius of TFL. Mine sounds great!….and smells like mocha??
- my copy was slightly warped, but it plays fine. sounds nice, and the color is actually amazing. i also like the detail of the fake ringwear and stains on the cover, but I really wish it was a gatefold. I do not like these two lp non-gatefold covers. also, these are selling for less than half msrp, so wooops.
4/5 - Edited 3 years agoOne of those occasions where supply radically outstripped demand. This was on sale for £30.99 in my local store at the time, and now appears to be easy to get for less than half the price brand new. RSD pricing can honestly get fucked. Even worse this year.
- Yeah, a bit warped on disc 1 on the copy I bought in late 2021 at a local shop, sealed and brand new.
- GZ media’s terrible QC strokes again. Like many have said the previously, I bought mine sealed and both disks were pretty warped, luckily my Dual 506 TT has spring loaded force and can play just about anything. Record sounds good still, would sound even better it wasnt warped. Dont know how to get a replacement I really dont want to bother the little shop I got it from.
- Mine is super warped but doesn’t seem to affect sound. Not very eager to return it, so I’ll just deal with it.
- My record thankfully came in in perfect condition (minus the outer sleeve, though that's how it was listed as well. personally I think it looks fine like that, especially due to how worn the outer sleeve is made to look). Sounds really good, looks really good, and finally in my grasp.
