A/B this with the 2009 pressing... this 2021 pressing is a different mix. It's not blatant, these are subtle changes. Some of the ethereal samples from old films, or Jimmie Rodgers train imitation at the beginning of Silverline are showcased a little more. Matt's vocals seem to be a little more forward, there are harmonies I am hearing for the first time. There's a clarity to this intentionally raw and dreamy recording. This new pressing doesn't take anything away from that. You are still left feeling a little like you just experienced a fever dream... but it's got a newer sheen to it. It sounds like it could've been recorded this year as to opposed to 20 years ago.

anyone know if this is 45rpm like the 2009 pressing?
