Excellent repress, nice yellow vinyl, plays well, nice insert! I love it

Oh man does this sound bad.....it looked promising with the Bob Ludwig Mastering but it sounds flat, compressed and the vinyl itself is noisy. Bummer. Nice packaging though, but not worth it unfortunately. I am getting used to the RTIs and Analogue Productions of this world.

Should have included the “alternate versions” of wild horses and brown sugar, just cause of the history of this release. Perhaps on a 7”, as a bonus.

Optimal pressing is reasonable, though I’ve heard better. Solid remaster from Bob L, source material sounds like it is from a hi-rez digital file. The Stones recordings were never anything out-of-this-world, but this comp is the best I’ve heard so far.

Agree with comments that could be more dynamic but the pressing is so goddam quiet that it can be enjoyed at volume with no audible noise or flaws

I agree with most folks on here about the sound being super quiet and flat. I also have some surface noise between songs.

Super quiet, nice remaster but not as dynamic as it could be (digital source?). Much better tho than the recent Abby Road 1/2 speeds. Worth the price IMO.

So disappointed.

Songs are great as expected but I agree with others the sound output, for a $60 RSD, falls flat.

Maybe I am spoiled by the $34 Blue Note and their annual Poet series output - but this does not live up to expectations and cost.

This a little quiet and one dimensional to anyone? The pressing is beautiful with a great lead-in and dead silent, but the music is unfortunately without punch.

Main reason in taking a chance with this album is due to master by Bob Ludwig and pressed in Germany by Optima.
Due to the previous Rolling Stones albums half speed mastered did not sound as good as they should, but this was my last chance and it is much better than these reissues.
I am not sure this is mastered by original tape or it is from digital transfer like the other albums by Abbey Road remasters.
I wish the Rolling Stones would take the example from Faces boxset reissues from “flat” master done by Kevin Grey. They sound excellent.
Therefore, this is the best Rolling Stone reissue so far and it as all the songs that I want.
