Glad they brought out this version as it adds some fresh air to the album and on the whole its a lot better of a master than the previous OOS album I have which is very flat and compressed. This could of been a WHOLE lot better though. One of the greatest albums of all time yet to have its day on vinyl.

Did they remove those breathing noises between each of Matt's sentence ? It ruins the album once you notice it...

Sounds pretty good, though I seem to fiddle a lot with the pitch knob on my player throughout

Is this a gatefold album? I hate double albums in single sleeves. Thanks!

Good work. Nice remastering. The original pressing was too garish.
            Maybe their finest album,

I have the original pressing and cd. They are not good at all. Very compressed, harsh, no bass or low end mids, uppers too tooo bright. This 2021 version although not perfect, is a waaaaaay better pressing. Sometimes the upgrade is not worth it especially if your just a casual fan of the artist, but if your a fan of Muse and often listen to this album definitely, definitely worth the upgrade. There is a relaxed presentation, in busy songs where it sounds all muddy and unclear what instruments are being played you hear all the separation and details. I found myself realizing I had never really heard some of these songs as the band intended. Again it's not perfect, it will not rival any of your purist audiophile recordings but Muse fans will appreciate. I hope they do this to Showbiz and Absolution but thats probably too much to hope for.

I only ever listened to this album on mp3, and it's better, but not sure if it was better for $32. Vinyl is fantastic, nice and quiet...except when you get to side 4 without the lockout groove, that was a bit jarring.

Overall nice pressing, not sure if it's the way they recorded the original masters but this mix is only marginally better than my mp3s. If you're a fan you'll just appreciate having it on wax at all lol.

Well, I don't know if it's better than the previous version, I didn't own it ; but this one is overcompressed to the point that the more quiet moments feel louder than the louder ones. As the album was recorded during the loudness war, I was expecting more from the remix, thinking they would fix it, open the sound more and give a bit of space (the first side runs for only ten minutes FFS, they COULD have a better sound !).
Oh well, I guess I'll wait for the XXXth anniversary then...

This sounds great but there's no locking groove on side E. One minute I'm listening to music and the next my needle is pumping the centre label harder than ron jeremy going thru a pack of barley legal girl scouts.

Anyone else finding there is no locked groove at the end of Side E? On my first listen through I was a second slow getting up to lift the tonearm and before I knew it the stylus was dragging over the label. WTF! I didn't notice this on the other sides, but I'm definitely going to be watching carefully when spinning this again.
