- Repress on pre-order, stay away from the sharks. <3 peace
https://antonioadolfo.bandcamp.com/album/viralata - 100% extraordinary album, full of great music from start to finish. The first and last tracks are my favorite. I wish it gets a proper repress one day.
- Edited 9 years agoApparently Cascavel was the last track ever played at Plastic People, 3rd Jan 2015.
- Edited 9 years agoGutted I couldn't make it to the place that introduced me to this track. Sad times all round: No more Plastic. Southport is also gone. Things are changin...
- The great Pianist & Composer Antonio Adolfo Maurity Sabóia, known as Antonio Adolfo has granted some of the finest Brazilian Grooves in the Sixties & Seventies such as O Trio 3D, as well as his solo albums. This lovely 1979 LP 'Viralata' [Mongrel] features some particularly classy rhythms from - as they say in Brazil - 'Patria Amada', blended with seductive Jazz-Funk influences. 'A Marcha' [The March] and 'Assanhada' [Tetchy] are some of the treasures inside, performed by a great team of musicians that included Antonio Adolfo [Electric Piano], Jamil Joanes [Bass], Téo Lima [Drums], Helio Capucci [Guitar], Bidinho [Horn].
