Couldn't believe my eyes when I dug this out in a local record store a few days ago. It had been miscataloged as DOOM's 2nd single (Greenbacks b/w G.W.T.F.), and was priced somewhat cheaply according to that single - not to mention for what it actually was. Truly my craziest find in the wild that'll be near impossible to top, though I do still feel somewhat horrible about the whole thing.

And like other people are saying, the pressing quality of this thing is really nice. Vocals are crisp - at least as crisp as they can be from the equipment that was used - and surface noise is very low, no issues pressing-wise. It's interesting hearing these original versions of the tracks with more improvised beat-takes and calm vocal delivery. You can tell he's in the transition between Zev and DOOM, and it's awesome to experience.

I think it goes without saying that this is a must-have for DOOM fans, or just hiphop fans in general. Incredible record!

Sound quality of this 12” is platinum, the audible experience listening to this single is something that any of the album versions I’ve heard will ever match. A must for a DOOM completist, fan or admirer.

The OG version of Dead Bent is definitely superior to the album version.. so grimey and those crisp drums with the crisp lyrics (eq wise) hits so hard. Fire.

on this OG version of "dead bent" the track differs from the LP version.
first the OG has a BPM of 84 instead of 90 and its mixed more darker due to the sound
mf also doesn't sing along with the vocal samples at the beginning like on the LP version.
with the first rhymes the drums starts to play in instead of the LP version where the drums cames later with the rhymes.
both versions are nice but i prefer the LP version cause its much clearer, faster and i really like this singing along ^^
