I’m a newer fan to Thin Lizzy, my favorite album is Jailbreak, so I bought this one to get a good sampling of their other songs. I really enjoyed this album because it has all the things that made me a fan: heavy guitars with awesome synchronization, fantastic vocals, strong rhythm at the bottom - just a great all around, very full sound. The pressing is fantastic as well - almost no surface noise and the production/sound quality is outstanding. Glad I added this one to my collection.
Some of the track details printed on the inner sleeve of LP 1 are incorrect:
Tracks A1 & A2 are the album versions not 7'' edits.
Track A5 is the single version not the extra verse version.
Track A6 is the live single/album version not a 7'' edit.
Instead, I recommend a much better collection
on vinyl - "Collected" MOVLP 1820 or the 3 CD version, MOST representative of THIN LIZZY music - MOCCD-14031
And it doesn't include the LIVE versions you don't need !
THIN LIZZY compilations will always be missing a lot of good songs. It's a "Greatest Hits" and not a "Best Of'"- Forever unsure about this release. Greatest hits but no ‘massacre’ or ‘emerald’
