Yes gorgeous packaging and wonderful sound quality but I still prefer the originals to these. You can see why they call them alternates. Don't ever need to hear a 10 minute version of Almost Cut My Hair again.

Worth every penny, I'm glad they did 1,000,000 of these records, everyone needs to listen to it. I actually love ir for what it is. After listening to so many times the original version, and not wanting to get the boxset that came out recently because I did not want that many CD's, this is incredible. Get one, not for a future price, but the value of the music it has today within itself.

This release is well worth the money! Almost Cut My Hair by itself is 10 plus minutes of music that transports you back to a time when the world was a bit edgy and tensions (politically) were running high because of a war that no one wanted (or wanted to be involved in). It's a snapshot of that time and place from a young adult perspective. I can't really find a bad track on the album - they all sound great and go from "mildly different" to "completely different" from the original album. I believe this is something you will want in your collection of CSN&Y! (and to think I almost didn't buy it)

It’s a wonderful collection of alternative takes. Anyone else get an uneven gatefold? Mine is skewed. No damage though.

So happy with my copy, sound brilliant (helps when the record company press well and place in proper dust covers). Almost cut my hair is worth the vinyl cost alone. So happy to be an owner of this true vinyl gem.

"Helpless" plays just fine here, and so does the rest of this gorgeous looking and gorgeous sounding record.
Now, if only I was able to fit the nice, black poly-lined sleeve that this came with back into the gatefold... :-/

My copy is perfect. No floor noise, clear of pops and ticks. Just sounds dang great.

Does this version of “Teach Your Children” still have Jerome on pedal steel?

Sounds great, very pleased with it, and the packaging is top drawer. Shame it's missing Country Girl which for me is the centerpiece of the original album

What everyone else said…this sounds incredible.

My favorite track Almost Cut My Hair is expanded into this burnt out jam suite that’s so exquisite you never want it to end. More chilled and laid back compared to the album version.
But all the alternate versions sound phenomenal and add a richness and depth to Deja Vu that’s fantastic. What can you say about a band, where their alternate demo’s are just as exquisite and nuanced as their final album takes?
