LEGEND! This is a fantastic compilation…perfect intro to the incredible career of this extremely prolific “Father” of Lo-Fi DIY home recording. He basically single handedly invented a genre. Extremely under appreciated. My best description of RSM is “what it would sound like if Brian Wilson was in Ween”. He’s genius. And strange in the very best way.

Do yourself a favor and get this. Then dig deeper. The pressing sounds awesome. Watch the Cool Daddio: Second Youth of R. Stevie Moore doc on YouTube. Very happy to have made a casual acquaintance with the man himself in recent years.

Picked up on a whim RSD. Fantastic comp. Great sound quality. Will now dive down the rabbit hole of his hundreds of releases!

This is an amazing comp my an amazing artist. I only wish I’d learned of him earlier. That said this is an excellent introduction to a range of his styles. Sound quality is excellent

Great compilation of a mix of some of the best songs across his decades of releases ... but oof, one of the laziest "colored" variants in my collection. Wasn't this advertised as black with baby pink splatter? Mine ended up having a hype sticker of "speckled" and it's barely noticable.

    Oh well. Sounds great though.
