was gifted my copy for christmas 2021. went to play it when i got back to my apartment after the holidays and it sounds like a man is singing it. i can adjust the pitch on my player, but i can never get it exactly right. i haven't played it past side a because there are so many skips it's unbearable. unable to return it because the person i got it from didn't keep the receipt. really disappointed.
(tried everything to try to fix it. cleaned the record, needle, used a weight, and ultimately just gave up) anyone else have a similar problem?

Just got my copy today, I wasn't aware of this 2021 pressing. The marble effect is super visible on my copy, even out of the light.
Sounds miles better than my "Running Like Water" pressing made in the EU. Very quiet, little to none surface noise.
The imagery from the "In the Woods" pressing is gorgeous, fits the album perfectly!
Very pleased with this pressing!

I am getting some sibilance on the “s” when Taylor sings. Anyone else experiencing this? Trying to decide if I need to re-align the cartridge or if it’s the pressing.

Maybe i got lucky, but my version sounds absolutely fantastic. No surface noise or cracking at all, and i was expecting the worst.

This pressing sounds definitely worse than the EU pressing. It has light cracks and surface noise all over. My Tears Ricochet is the worst unfortunately - the high notes are unlistenable in the beginning. The sleeves also awful. Looks cheap.

Just bought my copy from Walmart ($23.97) after seeing another review. So far it sounds amazing. I've had a few crackles and pops but I am not one to complain much about a small amount of them. That's part of the charm of vinyl for me. Vocals and instrumentals are crystal clear to my untrained ear. The beige pressing also matches the sound and aesthetic of the album quite well. It's very pretty when you hold it up to the light; really showcases the marble effect.

I bought this at Walmart. Parental Advisory sticker on cover. You can tell the difference by the color of the was AND also because the republic label logo is printed lower and center. Other issues have it printed on the right side.

I had issues with the Evermore pressings so I was super glad to get my Folklore vinyl and find that this a great pressing. Clear and bright, little surface noise. Wish it came in a prettier colour, but what can ya do.

Miles better than most of the 2020 releases. Very little surface noise and no glaring issues. This is the version to own.

Got this version as the release pressings sounded awful.

Surface noise has been greatly diminished and the fuzzy sound throughout is no longer there. However, you can tell this wasn't mastered for vinyl at all. It's very noticeable with her vocals, as the higher notes sound very compressed and a bit abrasive. This album deserves better.
