This 1969 promo release was created for the burgeoning USA AM radio-station market, using the stereo master & CSG process (Compatible Studio Generator) to create a more acceptable sound balance through the mono broadcast system.

Reviews
- It's worth noting that it was nothing but a fold-down mix of the stereo master. Not a particularly bad sounding one, but some songs make it very apparent (Whole Lotta Love is basically pure bass). Out of the fold-down Zeppelin records, this is one of the worse sounding ones.
- 227 people have this "mono " version ....REALLY ? Time to revise these numbers I think , 27 maybe but shit c'mon mon. Did they even press that many ?
- Is it only the promo which has the "Stereo" imprint ?
Because in that case I have that release but without the decal, I might be wrong though
