Reviews
- I'd double-check with any seller claiming their discs are near mint. The packaging almost guarantees that that isn't the case. 😢
- A rich representation of all the usual suspects + other lesser known artists that more or less chronologically tell the story of SF psychedelic/folk pop-rock.
“Absolutely beautifully presented. A 120 page book prefaced with commentaries by people who experienced the scene, detailed track-by-track descriptions of all seventy-seven songs and their performers, illustrations of posters and other memorabilia from the period, together with top class publicity photos of all the artists concerned, bound in hardback with depictions of the local concert venues on the cover. Oh, and lest we forget, four CDs. It really has been lovingly brought together and, fortunately, the musical contents are worthy of the effort. [ref: Grampus – RYM 03/02/11]
The ultimate document on the San Francisco scene 1965-1970.
