- According to the label and the back of the sleeve this recording was first published in December 1962 and the player of the pipa solos on this disc was Liu Dehai (1937-2020). Thus this is presumably a rare early recording of Liu Dehai, at the age of circa 25, clearly depicted as a young man on the sleeve.
