    Notes

    Eye Spy
    Ears Only : Confidential

This is the soundtrack from an animated series on a popular cable TV network. The title of the series and the name of the network are secret, and will not be divulged in these notes. There are also cues which have never before been released, which were written for the semi-defunct CD ROM game spinoff from the series.
Over a full hour of music had to be cut out to make a 2CD set.
Clever fans of the show will know what show it is.
Others will just have to enjoy the music.
I'll drop a whole bunch of hints. A web search of the name Peter Chung will answer the first riddle, and come up with a load of links.
If you figure it out, go buy the video...then you'll understand why the music changes moods so quickly. Animation is a connected series of movements, drawn a frame at a time.

"A chem bla deshembla blurr fuh bli fouzh"
-TV announcer, episode 5, the shorts, 1991.

The animated series in question is Æon Flux (also known as Aeon Flux).

The music from the Aeon Flux cartoon. MTV were such soulless bastards about this cd (as if that's a surprise). Even though Drew had permission from Aeon Flux creator Peter Chung to subtitle the album "The Music of Aeon Flux", MTV wouldn't let Tone Casualties use the Aeon Flux name, or even let them use a PICTURE of Aeon Flux on the cover! Peter Chung had to draw the cover with a Aeon-ish looking woman dressed in red... it of course looks nothing like her, which probably accounts for the fact that next to no one even knows of this album's existence.
