Show All 13 Reviews- Edited one year agoMy Neptune blue copy sounds fantastic. No problems with excessive noise over here. Sorry to hear some folks are having a bad experience.
- Edited one year agoCan confirm Neptune Blue version seems fine, no noise issues at all on my copy of this pressing, on any side.
- My C/D sides also sound fine! Some crackles between songs and on the dead wax but no complaints. Played loud or soft, this record sounds great!
- Was pretty worried about surface noise but I must say mine sounds flawless throughout. Sure there might be a bit between some tracks and at the lead in grooves but that's the case with any record out there. Usual GZ Media pressing quality with added bonus of polylined inner sleeves which avoids the nasty tiny scratches that I've had on many GZ pressings which came in paper or printed inner sleeves.
Mastering sounds good otherwise, it has a very balanced sound over all and maybe a tad less dynamic than their previous recordings but that's not due to the mastering or pressing imo.
If you get surface noise make sure you clean your copy properly and do it multiple times if needed. If that doesn't help then exchange it as good ones are definitely out there. - Had some little cracks at C/D first listening, cleaned it, after it both sides were fine and sounded the same as A/B.
- Neptune Blue, Album is fantastic but lots of distracting surface noise on side C and definitely on side D!
- At this price tag, I can say that the hardware is bad (simple sleeve for a double LP album?!) + surface noise… but the software is good.
- Can echo what has been said in previous comments. 3 of the 4 sides have excessive surface noise which comes close to unlistenable in certain areas. Records have been cleaned twice which has made no improvements.
Have already ordered the black variant to see if it’s any better. - Totally disturbing how bad the second side of the second disc sounds. Was gonna be my favorite side if not for the constant surface noise in the right channel
