This pressing does not seem to be 180g. Other than that, this record sounds amazing!

PSA Europeans: Craft is selling a version of this that looks 100% identical to the US one in Europe. Even the hype sticker is the same, claiming it to be AAA by Kevin Gray. But, the runout information is totally different and does not have Kevin Gray's initials like all the releases cut by him.

After contacting Craft, they confirmed that this is, indeed, NOT cut by Kevin Gray and that the hype sticker was used in the European version by mistake. The European version was pressed at GZ from God knows what sources and the US version was pressed at RTI with Kevin Gray's stampers.

I created an European release for this:

Obtained the VMP release of this classic rerelease. The floor of this LP is noisy. Not something from dirt. No pops or ticks.

Yes, mine does. KPG on both sides. Like others, very dirty out of the plain paper sleeve. Wash and vacuum and it sounds delightful. Very quiet and easy on the ears.

A bit appalled by the state of the record on opening. Vinyl shrapnel had to be trimmed from the edge with a knife. Greasy finger marks all over.

That said after the trim and a good wet clean the record is flat, near silent between tracks and the audio presents incredibly clean, crisp and with wonderful depth. A good bit of punch to the bass and drums with the piano well in-front. Perhaps gets a little muddy in the heavier/louder parts.

I’ve got the “made in EU” version from Amazon DE. No KG initials in deadwax. It’s different stamper as I understand from the printed numbers in the runout grooves and probably a GZ cut. Pressing has a very slight instant whoosh sound (roughly noticeable) through every revolution on side A. Side B is OK (only low surface noise). So I believe this isn’t an AAA cut although the sticker in front is the same as U.S. version… I won’t return it since sound is pretty good, dynamic and clear… So be careful ordering the U.S. version if you want an AAA Kevin Gray cut….

Mine was drop dead silent after a clean. Brilliant pressing and fantastic sound! This could be one of the best sounding jazz records I own!

My copy has an audible flaw on the first part of band 5 on side A, pretty strong pop sounds for several rotations. I tried cleaning it off but it did not move, so I'm sure it's a manufacturing flaw. I reported it to the retailer as damage and was sent a replacement. The replacement has the exact same flaw in the exact same place. Does anyone else see it on their copy? I've messaged Craft to find out what can be done now.
UPDATE: Craft said (via the customer service person responding on their behalf), since I didn't buy directly from them I need to work it out with the retailer, that they were not aware of any such manufacturing problem.
My retailer (online order) replaced the first copy I reported damaged, and refunded my payment for the second copy I reported damaged.
