- Edited 6 years agoA fondly recollected CD which covers a full range of electronic styles from 94 95... These days, ambient is not as open minded as it was when it was a new kind of music to many people. we have... footsteps, bells, water, frequency modulation exponential sine modulators, sputnik echo chirps, crickets, 909's, 303's, juno's, waldorfs, housewives on lsd talking rubbish, some bass,... the full range of synth pads from the 90's. mercenary or spacey acid ambient with an edge. along with adventures beyond ultraworld and a couple of others, one of my fave CD's from schooldays.... Psychic warrors ov Gaia - African village vocals, dusty backwards beat loop, alien FM treble, triangles, distant bass, weird percussion, and a grumbley bass synth from TheThing movie... It may seem boring but it's one of the most atmospheric tracks i heard all month. massive empty sparse clear atmospheric samples. Fave tracks are portishead rmx, AFX, and Thaemlitz.
- Edited 15 years agoTrue masterpiece! Fills the air with that aroma of '95, yet still hits the spot on any hot summer chill of today! Maybe with the small exception of "Plonimial-C" wich feels a little out of place. Also as that recording seems to suffer from lesser qualty (directly from tape?) then the others. Other then than that - perfect!
