Reviews
- Edited one year agoThe back cover and the Blu-ray disc are misprinted, they list the Montreal show on the Blu-ray as 45mins 44secs but the full show is on the disc.
- Certainly worth it for the 5.1 mix - but don't expect to have your ears blown away by glorious sonics. The recording of this album (as the excellent documentary in this package reveals) was fraught with problems - which are perhaps even more apparent in the 5.1 mix. The live album, interview material and footage alone are worth the price of admission for this release.
Don't get me wrong - I did enjoy the 5.1 mix - but it sounds fairly thin most of the time - with the occasional passage into sonic paradise - but it does reveal a lot of the detail of the sound, which tells its own sad story of how this album was "almost but not quite". - Edited 3 years ago5/5 rating for the multichannel remaster, that can be also downmixed for a listen in stereo: this is truly audiophile level, another planet with respect to the standard stereo mix. Superb dynamic range (avg DR 13), highest level of detail at all frequencies of sound, it can also be listened with headphones at high volume without listening fatigue. The standard stereo mix is much inferior, yet this edition is 100% worth to buy only for the BR-audio with the multichannel remix. Lastly, the "mediabook" packaging is very high quality too, with textured cover.
- Another shitty remaster of this album will not help, because it is badly recorded from the beginning.
I had various vinyl and CD versions and got rid of all of them, which is a pity because it's good music. - Edited 3 years agoAs stated on his Facebook page, 432 Copies Signed by Fish (more to be sent out next week) and sold on Pre-Order from his web store but it looks from the pic on his Facebook page (stupidly not allowed on Discogs listings) they are signed on the front of the Media Book and not on the booklet as mentioned in this listing. I cannot confirm this for certain until my copy arrives. I can now confirm item is signed on front cover of hard backed book. Booklet is attached to the inside of same. Cellophane seal broke to enable Fish to sign each item. Awesome item and great value direct from former Marillion front man. Nothing broken or damaged about this issue of FUGAZI !!
