Over Drive’s ‘Taste’ was released 1980 or 1981, the band being founded by French drummer J.M.Black (Jeannot Black) with brothers Guy and Didier Accardo, Christophe Kowak and Gilbert Dupuis.
Serge Ponsar’s ‘Out In The Night’ released in 1983, was based on 'Taste' and saw moderate success on the soul charts that summer. It soon became a favourite of Larry Levan/Paradise Garage NYC and saw greater commercial success by rising to the Top 10 of the Billboard Dance Charts.
Brothers Accardo aka Plaisir released ‘Visa Pour Aimer’ in 1984 which was basically a re-make of 'Taste'.
It is sampled in Titus Williams’ ‘Give Me Some Love Tonight’ also released in 1984.

This superb funky song is maybe best known for it's appearance in the 1983 Swedish blue movie (in other words, porno) "Hetaste Liggen" (AKA "Hate and Love" AKA "Call Girl")
Rest of the music in the feature is pretty excellent also, although the artists are unknown to me.
Makes you wonder how many otherwise obscure but great tracks featured in adult movies.
