Reviews
- I don't mind the last reviewer's take, though I notably disagree. The bass-line and acid work in "Wah Wah Wah" is unreal, and personally, I don't really mind the vocals. When did being silly/cheeky become un-acid techno/un-punk rock? If SUF/Wah Wah starts releasing boring minimal/pop techno, then I'll actually be concerned.
And yes, Impact is dope too though admittedly different than a lot of other Chris & Sterling tracks. - Impact is a stone cold classic - Very unique subliminal break and vocal with a dreamy drippy 303 phasing in and out
Acid Wah Wah is avin it but i prefer Impact !
Crank that acid press love to see some more back catalogue releases especially Wah Wah 20 21 and 22 ! - Two more great tunes by this amazing duo. While "Acid Wah Wah Wah" is the one which does the most dancefloor damage, it's the "B"-side which is, in my opinion, the most interesting of the two. Side A is a standard screaming 303 banger (with a typically silly vocal), and it's a great one at that - just the thing you need at peak time in the club/warehouse. But the other side is quite something else. This one samples an interview with Captain Chesley Sullenberger, after the Hudson incident. During the breakdown, the interview samples and the strange synth sounds create a dark, eerie tension which is absolutely NOT recommended for listening to on an overnight flight - I dare you to listen to this on an A330 while crossing the Atlantic! It's not the hardest, fastest or most banging anthem of recent years, but it's definitely one of the more unique tracks produced by Chris & James.
