Sadly I have to agree with Harry-Lloyd's comment below.

The Y.O.M.C. mix sounds terrible. Flat & lifeless, without any stereo separation. It's definitely a mastering issue as the DJ Wag mix sounds perfect.

Thankfully all is not lost, as you can get the Global version of the Y.O.M.C. mix here: Life On Mars.

Sure it's not quite the same, but it certainly does the job.

Sound quality is very poor in my opinion. My vinyl is in very good condition, so it must be the mastering or something. Every mp3 rip I have found sounds even worse. There is very little detail, rather bland bass and treble, and almost no stereo. It is the only vinyl in my collection that sounds this bad.

I absolutely love the Y.O.M.C. Mix, but it sounds terrible. I bought the Y.O.M.C. Global Mix in a digital format, it sounds great, but it is far less interesting than the original remix. I hope one day we will get the remastered digital version of the original.

The Y.O.M.C. remix is probably as good as hard trance ever gets, a nice tough driving beat with a nice catchy riff on the build up. The breakdown drops down to near silence, and then come some of the most haunting, epic soaring synths I've ever heard, it's not as full on as most tracks but never fails to give me goosebumps. Not a record I could part with.
