Fairly noisy and a bit warped, yes, but the sound is just incredible. It's rare that a new piece of vinyl takes you on a journey and lights up the room, and this is the one. Packaging is great and detailed as well. Great job.

      4.5 stars:

      Cons:
      - D1 is somewhat warped; annoying, but doesn’t affect playback.
      - Minor, but plainly noticeable, inner-groove distortion on (I believe) all sides in the last few minutes.

      Pros:
      - Absolutely stunning splatter finish.
      - Phenomenal mastering and cut by Metropolis; better than my 2007 black pressings by Pirates Press.
      - Centered.
      - Amazing album, finally repressed.

The vinyl itself is badly cut, the edges are sharp and if you clean them with an anti-static cloth you might actually damage the cloth there. Then they come in simple paper innersleeves without anti-static lining whatsoever.
The gatefold cover are extremely thick, but also extremely tight. I swapped the paper innersleeves for anti-static ones and now the vinyl doesn't fit into the covers anymore.

Just got my copy. Firstly the color of the gold splatter is really nice. It has a galaxy shine all throughout the gold. The jacket is nice too. Both LPs do not lay completely flat, but no impact to play. I did use clamp on one side of first LP. Like others, it annoys me that you drop $40 on a record for paper sleeves. I would rather just pay a little extra to go straight into a mo-fi style sleeve. Lots of the usual paper dust that required surface cleaning. There's still some surface noise throughout both LPs, but not super intrusive since the music overpowers it. Overall, I'm glad to have this tasty gem in my collection. Perhaps if I deep clean I can get it even quieter.

This sounds fantastic. Much better master than the original. I forgot how much I like this one.

A bit noisy but the tunes mostly overpower that. Mastering is fantastic. Well produced to begin with.

Anyone else get a lopsided copy? I mean part of the actual vinyl record is thicker than the rest.
Normally records stay fairly balanced when held with your middle finger on the spindle hole and thumb on the edge, but my copy nearly fell out of my hand. Otherwise, it sounds great.
Just wondering if this was an anomaly in the pressing run and if it's defective, long term?
Weird, of all my years collecting I have never encountered anything like this.

Nice sounding remaster, wax is beautiful, heavy tip on gatefold. Wish they used poly lined inners instead of the scratchy paper, now in mofi inner sleeves here. Glad to have snagged this.
