- Edited 3 years agoI really cannot understand the hype of ''Fireball''. I mean this is not a bad track but not good either. It sounds way too minimal to me, just bleeps and bass, and very simple breakbeats, and nothing more. No one compete cause i heat like fireball???...........No, he doesn't for me. It is not an interesting track.
However the flipside ''Unity'' Track is an excellent oldskool tune. Miles better than the overhyped Fireball. Unity is stronger, harder, darker and even more melodic track. Still has bleeps and bass but also hardcore stabs, tuffer breaks, and GREAT sequencies and dark melody. Great track indeed. - Another of Stu Allen Key 103s classics circa 91. All yous from Manchester know what I mean. Rockin Mixes. Get your tapes ready! lol
- Edited 13 years agoFireball: earliest memory of this was when Dj Lime mixed it into a superb set at the Zap Club, Brighton. A truly great example of underground rave music at its best, though the rave scene may (or may not) have already peaked by the time of its release. Injected some funky bass into dance floors being overrun by fast DnB beats & helium vocals. Features the samples 'drop this like a boulder' & 'no-one can compete, coz I heat like a fireball'. Hava listen...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHxMJx_noD8 - Edited 18 years agoIf you hate ya neighbours put on this twelve to piss them off, cops @ ya door garantueed.
Unity is a good Hardcore track with bleeps, deep subs and a simple synth riff.
Fireball is the best Hardcore track I ever heard and mi old time fav:
Rolling Breakbeats with a heavy stomach bashing sub bass, dope bassline and a sick high pitched synth pattern.
Add the wicked sample ' NO ONE CAN COMPETE, CUZ I HEAT LIKE A FIREBALL'
and indeed, this is dark underground stuff.
You can't beat this tune!
