Ruxpin's fourth album, _Avalon_, starts with the organ chords and vacuum sweeps of "First Contact," a simple, blissful track to put you in a meditative state of mind. But "Together" introduces a funk bass to get things moving, ever so slightly, with some disembodied voices to haunt the fringes, whereas "Makaneon" keeps things more stripped down. "I Miss You" emphasizes the rhythm while maintaining and airiness, as does "Do You Feel the Same Way." The piano chords on "Moment with You" add a warmth, and "Requiem" is way peppier than its name would suggest. The album has an easygoing attitude overall, never rushing, content to stay in a drifting, melodic space, even if "Artificial Love" has more of a sense of urgency in his hissing percussion. The more angular melodies of "Art of Love" and "9Mars" bring a hint of mystery to the chill before "Lullaby" swoops in. But for the real lullaby, go to the best track on the album, "In the Form of a Bird I Meet My Creator." It's pure aural bliss, and well worth the price to Avalon.

"In Form Of A Bird I Meet My Creator", what can be said, except one of the best songs ever made.

If you looking for laid back, calming, and just general feel-good electronic music with a soulfull beat, then it doesn't get much better than this. Not too jazzy, but progressive music with nice chord washes and subliminal vocoder phrases over beats and bass that just morph into eachother..
