The original press from the Netherlands with the variant 4 matrix from the UK pressing as well as the original US pressing sound WAY WAY BETTER than this pressing by far. There is no comparison. I used the song "Troy" to do the comparisons, as there are quiet passages and great crescendos of sound as well. This might be a digitally sourced album. It is missing a lot in the sound. It sounds farther away, and thinner....lacking depth. I've got an original UK press on the way...NM....and I expect that it will be better than the Holland pressing, which will then go up for sale(NM). I am not a fan of Record Industry pressings...UK or Optimal from Germany are usually much better, as was the case for the Pink Floyd Knebworth. The Optimal pressing destroyed the Record Industry pressing on that one.

Good sound quality. I don’t if anybody else has this issue, but my pressing is a bit quite. It still sounds nice though.

Nice early Sinead compilation. I have no issues with sound quality and pressing. The only other Sinead vinyl I have is Lion & the Cobra, and that original LP has much more distortion. The mastering here seems to have tamed much of that.

However, I agree with those that say this is not audiophile quality. In comparison to my audiophile jazz vinyl (which is what I listen to a lot lately), this is not even close. Those jazz titles have very well recorded material with huge dynamics. This is compressed and veiled in comparison, but is somewhat typical for rock/pop recordings. Still recommended.

There seems to be a flaw in the pressing; there is an audible pop about halfway through D3 during the bridge. It is in the exact same spot on three separate copies. Cleaning does not change anything.

Pretty sure this was digitally sourced, but more than acceptable sound quality, dead quiet cut by CB. if you're wanting to one shot some Sinéad O'Connor into your vinyl collection this is a great sounding comp with a great representation of her music.

Does anyone know how "limited" this is?

I’m a sonic philistine so I can’t critique the sound quality. Sounds decent to me. The same cannot be said for the cover, which is blurry! This was not the case with the CD. They literally scanned the dimensions of the CD version and enlarged. Awful. I concur with the person who praised the lion and the cobra and I do not have’s 2015 remasters even though they are now out of print. Seek original copies. This is worth owning for the previously unreleased tracks and collaborations. Get it while it’s cheap.

Unless you are die hard fans like me, don't wast money on this careless master, it's MP3 quality!
I recommend the 2015 LP editions of her first 2 albums. Much better.

It is not audiophile quality but that is a high bar. Nevertheless my copy sounds very good, within the limits of the source recordings. Short of actually remixing some of the late 80s tracks, they're going to sound a bit brittle. And it's actually a _brilliant_ summary of her early career, collecting stray tracks and post-92 album cuts to make a convincing case that Sinead was on a decade-long hot streak, rather than, as many assume, a quick decline after "I Do Not Want..."
