Edited one year agoAn essential and attractive compilation for the listener who wants to get introduced to IDM/braindance. And it's quite accessible comparing to some releases by the artists in here. As other users say, a starter pack. If you're into, it's revitalizing to give this a listen.
Another wicked starter pack for anyone wanting to get into IDM, or in this case, braindance! (They're the same genres.)
The impossibly-beautiful "Journey" by the Gentle People, a sweet downtempo jam by Global Goon, a vinyl-only d'n'b rocket by the master Squarepusher, an awesome rave banger by µ-Ziq, a luscious groove by D'Arcangelo, and a calming tune by Bochum Welt. All this and a bit more unleashed on Aphex Twin's legendary label!
Another highly recommended release! :)- i have it! :) just bought it on sunday from my favorite cd store for a very cheap price.
- You simply must own this album, the definitive album to describe braindance. Theres maybe one or two tracks that sink below the rest, but I can't think of them! You can pick this up new for around a fiver and I imagine a lot of you have, if you havnt DO IT NOW!! A lot better than Rephlexions! Simply an electronic classic.
