Show All 15 Reviews- Seems I lucked out, there's only a bit of crackling at one point in "Wicked Little Town" but other than that it sounds good.
Btw my copy arrived with three plates for some reason lmao. Two plates 1. If only I didn't open it. I could have sold it as a curiosity lol. - Just got my copy today. Mine sounds fine until side 3, but only a noticeable noise during the first track, not the best pressing overall but not the worst.
- Honestly, I must have lucked out. The copy I picked up at a local shop is pristine. Side 3 sounds delicious. I couldn't be happier. Colored pressings are not a thing for me BUT, I gotta say, this is the hottest pink on Earth. Like so many others on this thread, I too long for the OST to be released on vinyl but this is a delightful sub and in so many ways better.
- This has to be a candidate for ugliest, most disruptive/pointless etching ever. Obnoxious pops throughout side C, even after cleaning, the interference on Midnight Radio is the worst. Sexy hot pink but that does not make up for the bad pressing gaff..Please I really want to listen to this not hang it on my wall.
- i just received my copy, and immediately played 2nd track from side one, which is The Origin of Love, and it sounded great. And then I read all the complaints below, and played 1st track from side three, which is Hedwig's Lamet, and I heard the surface noise throughout the track. But I know this is kind of those noise which can be reduced after proper cleaning. So, it's still worth to buy for me.
- Edited one year agoThrilled to have this. I discovered this soundtrack in its movie version, but since this is the source material, thrilled either way. Don’t think the sound is so terrible. Probably not the cleanest sound ever but it does the trick for my humble ears. I’d be so happy if they pressed the movie soundtrack.
- Just got this at my local last night.
Didn't even read the Pink Vinyl sticker! Fucking hate colored vinyl... but it is Hedwig and I have to have it.
Sadly, yes the pressing is flat.
We need the OST from the film on black 180 properly mastered please... bitte!
No issues with side 3 as people have mentioned.
Noisy throughout.
Probably find it here for sale in a month or so. :) - My copy looks and sounds fine. None of the crackles others have mentioned. Only sonic issue is that it’s a bit flat/muffled but that’s also how it was recorded. The original cast recording has always been a bit rough around the edges (fitting, considering the story) especially in comparison to the movie soundtrack.
